In a much-anticipated move, two of Melbourne’s most vibrant and active galleries have joined forces in a new collaborative project. Blockprojects and Niagara Galleries will launch NKN (Nuttall Kibel Nguyen) in the former Blockprojects space, fronted by, Yasmin Nguyen.
Niagara Galleries, with its 36-year history, will continue its program under directors, Bill Nuttall and Annette Reeves, as it always has.
The new NKN gallery will curate exhibitions combining new and emerging talent with already established artists drawn from both galleries.
The three directors of NKN believe this new collaboration will provide them with a more flexible program engaging with emerging and established artists, as well as a chance to establish the new entity in the South East Asian region.
